There will be no more outfits until I can access my account again. For some reason my password has been changed and I can’t log in. Until then, there will be no more posts.
*EDIT: Actually I just found out my account was suspended…dont know why though.
Sneak Peak of the outfit that I was supposed to do today.
For the second outfit in the Blue Series I decided to tell a story about a hobbit lass named Lily. Lily was just a simple hobbit until one day she decided to venture out of the shire and into the wild. On her way she met the small camp called Tinnudir. The rangers in this camp needed help against the forces of Angmar. “Well, what could I do?”, she thought. The rangers found her and thought she could be used as a spy. From then on she always helped the rangers. She was their only hope.
One day while Lily was out watching the lake with a ranger, she saw an enemy come up behind the ranger with a dagger. She quickly intercepted the dagger to save the ranger. Unfortunately, the dagger was poisonous and Lily was about to die. She lied down in the water happy to know she saved the ranger’s life. Lily was remembered as the Hope in Evendim and was greatly honored.
I wanted to make an outfit with the Spring Festival stuff but I never got a chance to do it until I started this blue series. It is a really pretty combination mixing the different shades of greens and blues together. The next two outfits in the series will be battle outfits.
Head: Simbelmyne Circlet (Spring Festival barter), sea blue
Shoulders: Noriel’s Folly (Great River quest reward), sea blue
Back: Lissuin Cloak (Spring Festival barter), evendim blue
Chest: Lissuin Dress (Spring Festival barter), evendim blue
Notes: If you cannot get Noriel’s Folly there are a number of other shoulders you could use.
I decided to do a series of outfits centering around the color blue. The series will consist of 4 outfits, all with different shades of blue and green colors. This first outfit is called Lady of the Falls because she lives in the waterfalls and only comes out when it is night.
The robe used in the piece is a beautiful robe in just about any color. The cloak has the same grey and creme color in the robe so I decided to use it.
Head: Hood of Night (skirmish barter), Evendim Blue
Shoulders: Strong Westfold Campaign Pauldrons (crafted T7), Evendim Blue
Back: Cloak of the Raven (Harvest Festival barter), Evendim Blue
Chest: Robe of the Learned Stag (Dunland quest reward), Evendim Blue
Hands: Fel-durnvol (Dunland quest reward), grey
Notes: There are other Dunland quest rewards that have the same appearance as the robe and gloves.
Well I’m back! I had a lovely vacation and now I’m ready to return to blogging. Anyway I didn’t think I would come up with something until this upcoming friday, but apparently something hit me and I wanted to make an outfit revolving around the chestpiece, Everstout. This is a beautiful piece but difficult to match. Most people just match them with Kin-hide Leggings, but I decided to try something a bit different. In the end it turned into a sort of leafy/fall theme.
The Steed of Rhun really matches the outfit perfectly, though if my mini had a warsteed I’m sure it would look even better with it dyed. I was surprised when I found a cloak that perfectly matches the three colours in the the outfit.
Head: Hat of the Concerned Elf (Great River quest reward), umber
Shoulders: Songmaster’s Shoulders (Mirkwood minstrel barter), umber
Back: Wrap of Turning leaves (Harvest Festival barter), dark green
Chest: Everstout (rare world drop), dark green
Hands: Leather Bracers of the Gentle Stag (Dunland quest reward), umber
Legs: Rune-stitched Dunlending Leggings (Dunland quest reward), dark green
Feet: Golden Host Boots (crafted T6), umber
Notes: If you can’t find Everstout from drops or the AH, the Wolfpelt Jacket has the same design and is found in the same place.
Just a quick reminder that I am still on vacation so there will be no outfit this Friday. I can’t wait to get back to you guys!
This ranger only comes out when the moon is at its highest peak. She hides in the water and waits for her enemy to come out in sight, hoping that she doesn’t make any noise.
She hides in the bushes, only to find that an animal was there before her. She quietly tries to calm down it so she can wait.
She jumps out at just the right moment to scare her enemy and defeat him. Though she finds its almost dawn and she must get back to camp.
Except one problem: Where was her camp?
I wanted to try making an outfit around a chest piece from Dunland. I remembered I always wanted to try making an outfit around this shirt ever since I got in back a while ago. It is a very feminine style chest piece and looks great in just about any colour.
Head: Lesser Arrow of the West Helmet (OD hunter, medallion barter), black
Shoulder: Elegant Silk Mantle (Dunland quest), black
Back: Fine Quiver (crafter T2), black
Chest: Disused Robe of the Dunland Soothsayer (Dunland Quest), black
Hand: Golden Host Gloves of the Twilight (crafted T6), black
Legs: Ceremonial Silver-voice Leggings (Skirmish barter), black
Feet: Disused Boots of the Dunland Soothsayer (Dunland Quest), black
Notes: There is a ceremonial version of the helmet in Lalia’s Market. There is also another chest piece with the same design called Rider’s Silken Shirt (rep barter from Theodred’s Riders).
I wanted to create a hunter outfit inspired by the Hobbits’ song, it just seemed like a traveling hunter to me. This outfit came together for me when I noticed the matching green shade in the top and the bottom. It gives it that medium-armour sort of look. This is one of my favorite outfits on my hunter. I honestly think the green/gold colour combination looks great together. Little things like the gold leaf on either side of the shoulders come together to make the outfit look great.
Head: Secret of the West Helmet (Burglar OD barter), rivendell green
Shoulders: Shoulder-guards of the Keen Eye (Lv 75 12-man Eruilan skirmishes), rivendell green
Back: Sturdy Elven Quiver (crafter T2), rivendell green
Chest: Breastplate of Dungarthadir (Warden OD barter), rivendell green
Hands: Gauntlets of the Indomitable Protector (Lv 75 skirmishes medallions barter), rivendell green
Legs: High Herald’s Leggings (crafted T6), rivendell green
Feet: Boots of the Indomitable Protector ( Lv 75 skirmishes medallions barter), rivendell green
Notes:There are ceremonial versions of the shoulders, hands, and feet armour available in Lalia’s Market now. The Quiver of Caras Galadhon (Lothlorien Barter, LOTRO Store) has the same appearance as the Sturdy Elven Quiver.
